The Oklahoma City Baseball Club are joining many other professional and collegiate venues in implementing a new clear bag policy at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark. With the goal of providing a safe environment to everyone who enters the ballpark as well as expediting fan entry at the gates, the OKC Baseball Club are implementing a policy that limits both the size and types of bags who can be brought into the ballpark.

The OKC Baseball Club strongly encourage fans to not bring any type of bags, but fans will be able to carry the following style and size bag inside the stadium:

• Bags that are clear plastic, vinyl or PVC and do not exceed 12 inches by 6 inches by 12 inches. A logo no larger than 4 inches by 4 inches may be displayed on one side of a permissible clear bag.

• One-gallon clear, plastic re-sealable bag (Ziploc bag or similar).

• Small clutch bags, which cannot exceed 7 inches by 9 inches in size, with or without a handle or strap can be taken into the stadium in addition to one of the clear plastic bags.

• Exceptions to this policy will be made for diaper bags and all medically necessary items after proper inspection.

Prohibited bags include but are not limited to: purses larger than a clutch bag, briefcases, backpacks, cinch bags, and fanny packs that are not clear and/or exceed the size restriction; luggage of any kind; computer bags/cases; camera bags/cases; binocular bags/cases or any bag larger than the permissible size.

Fans will continue to be able to carry items allowed into the stadium in a permissible clear bag, such as binoculars and cameras. Additional clothing is permitted if carried loosely or in an approved clear bag.

This policy pertains to bags and is not an all-inclusive list of items that are prohibited from being taken into Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark. There are no provisions to check items at the entry gates. Fans will be asked to either take prohibited items back to their cars before entry or dispose of prohibited items at the entrance.

Frequently Asked Questions

Yes. Many professional and collegiate venues have implemented a clear bag policy while some venues do not permit any bags to be brought into the stadium.

The clear bag is easily searched and significantly reduces faulty bag searches. The clear bag search also eliminates a guest touchpoint by allowing gate attendants to visually inspect bags at a safe distance. It also supports the Department of Homeland Security's "If You See Something, Say Something" campaign.

No. Fans are limited only to the type of bags carried into the stadium, not items that they may normally bring to a game that fit in pockets or clutch bags (e.g. keys, makeup, feminine products, phone, wallet, credit cards). Fans may carry a blanket over their arms, and binoculars and/or camera around their necks or in their hands without the case. Fans may also use the clear bag and clutch to carry these items and other permissible items. Every member of the family may carry a permissible bag.

One large clear bag (either a one-gallon, Ziploc-style bag or a 12 inches by 6 inches by 12 inches clear bag) plus a small clutch that does not exceed 4.5 inches by 6.5 inches. The small clutch allows privacy for small personal items can also be easily searched.

Yes. A phone, binoculars or cameras may be carried into the stadium as long as it is not in its own bag.

Fans will be able to bring blankets by carrying them over a shoulder or arm and will be asked to shake them out at the gate.

There will be designated entrances to allow screening of these bags and medically necessary items.

No. Small clutch purses, with or without a handle or strap, that do not exceed 7 inches by 9 inches are permitted along with either the 12 inches by 6 inches by 12 inches clear tote bag or the one-gallon, Ziploc-style bag. Fans are encouraged not to bring any bags, but the policy has been created to balance fan needs with improved public safety and convenience.

Credentialed individuals will be permitted an exception and must enter through the First Base Gate for a bag search prior to entry. Only bags that pass the inspection will be allowed into the stadium.
