Signed with the Chicago White Sox as an undrafted free agent out of Southern Illinois on Feb. 10, 2015... before his White Sox career, he played at Southern Illinois University of Carbondale (SIUC, 2013-14), Southwestern Illinois College (2011-12) and Granite City High School... spent two seasons in the White Sox organization from 2015-16, helping the Arizona League White Sox to a league championship in 2015... appeared in 173 career Minor League games with Chicago affiliates, hitting .286 with eight homers, 71 RBIs and 47 doubles... played in 55 games for the AZL White Sox and Class A Kannapolis in 2015, hitting .390 in the Arizona League... appeared in 118 games for Kannapolis in 2016, when he batted .281 with four homers and 44 RBIs in 423 at-bats... after baseball, he pursued a career in law enforcement and became a state trooper in District 11 with the Illinois State Police
In 2014 at Southern Illinois, as a senior, he was selected second-team All-Conference after he led the team in batting average (.333), hits (70), doubles (17), triples (2), home runs (6), total bases (109), slugging percentage (.519) and on-base percentage (.422)... finished fifth in the MVC in batting average, slugging percentage and on-base percentage... fanked sixth in the Valley in hits and tied for fourth in doubles... tied for sixth in the MVC in home runs and total bases... was second on the team and tied for 10th in the conference with 33 walks... in 2013, he finished third on the team and 12tg in the MVC with a .329 average in conference games... at Southwestern Illinois College, he hit .389 with seven home runs, 22 doubles, five triples, 45 RBI and 17 stolen bases as a sophomore in 2012 and was named all-conference and all-region first team in 2012... in high school, he played varsity baseball and basketball and helped lead the Warriors to a regional championship as a senior in 2010; was named all-conference and all-area in 2009 and 2010... he hit .306 with six home runs and 34 RBIs his senior season and played in the Illinois-Missouri All-Star Game... as a high school junior, he hit .436 with five homers and 32 RBIs and also pitched a perfect game.... majored in criminal justice at Southern Illinois... married Sophie Daily in Sept. 2023... son of Rick and Meghan Daily; his father is an electrician and mother is a case worker... he has a younger brother, Jake, and a younger sister, Abbie... hobbies include hunting and fishing
