PERSONAL
♦ Selected by Baltimore in the 11th round of the 2016 draft.
♦ Attended the University of North Dakota. Played on the final baseball team at the university, as the school cut the baseball program due to budget cuts after the 2016 season. Went a career 11-19 with a 3.85 ERA in 38 starts for the Fighting Hawks.
♦ Was the highest draft pick in UND baseball history, breaking a mark that stood for nearly a half-century. The previous high pick out of UND was Alex Cooley, who was taken by the Oakland Athletics in the 17th round in 1968.
♦ Attended Delano High School in Minnesota, located about 30 miles west of Minneapolis.
