Lacy (1-0, 0.00) started for the Pelicans (8-13, 42-49) and struck out six over the first two innings and totaled seven strikeouts overall while earning the victory in his High-A debut. He also allowed just one unearned run on four hits over five and 1/3 innings and had held the Mudcats (12-8, 46-44) scoreless through the fifth before leaving the game with one out in the sixth.
Kirby (2-5, 5.14) eventually took the loss after allowing three runs and five hits over three innings. He also walked two and struck out two while reaching 55 pitches (37 strikes).
