The Mudcats (34-26) were down 2-0 after the fifth before rallying back with five in the sixth and two in the seventh while taking a five run lead in the game. Salem (19-39) eventually came back with four in the ninth, but Carolina held for the victory while evening the series at 1-1 with two games left to go in the home stand and series.

Carolina's five run sixth began with back-to-back singles from
Jackson (L, 0-1, 19.80) ended up leaving the game after allowing Henry's double and with two men on base.
Carolina's five run sixth put the Mudcats 5-2 in the game and all five runs were charged to Jackson who ended up taking the loss. Gomez returned for the seventh, but ended up allowing a two-out home run to Feliciano as Carolina extended the lead to 7-2.
Feliciano's home run extended his consecutive games streak with a home run to four straight and was his Carolina League leading 14th of the season. Feliciano went 1-for-3 with three RBI in the game, Payton Henry had two RBI while going 2-for-4 and Rob Henry went 2-for-5 with two runs and a stolen base.
