Rain Washes Away Series Opener between Mudcats and Salem Sox
ZEBULON, N.C. - Tonight's series opening game between the Carolina Mudcats and Salem Red Sox at Five County Stadium in Zebulon has been postponed due to rain. The game will be made up as part of a doubleheader in Zebulon on Saturday beginning at 3:30 p.m.
ZEBULON, N.C. - Tonight's series opening game between the Carolina Mudcats and Salem Red Sox at Five County Stadium in Zebulon has been postponed due to rain. The game will be made up as part of a doubleheader in Zebulon on Saturday beginning at 3:30 p.m.
Saturday's doubleheader will consist of two seven inning games with game one beginning at 3:30 p.m. and game two beginning approximately :30 minutes following the conclusion of game one. The Five County Stadium gates will open at 3:00 p.m.
The second game of Saturday's doubleheader will be followed by post-game fireworks as Novartis presents a special fireworks show at Five County Stadium. Saturday's game is also Rock N' Roll Tribute Night and will feature a special souvenir aviator sunglasses giveaway for the first 1,200 kids ages 14 and under through the Five County Stadium gates.
As per team policy, fans may exchange their tickets to Friday's postponed game for seats to a future regular season home game for an equal value ticket. There are no cash refunds for tickets or parking.

First established in 1991, the two-time Southern League Champion Mudcats are entering their 28th consecutive season of baseball at Five County Stadium in Zebulon, N.C.
