Where do I enter the ballpark?
The Main Gates will be the sole entrance and exit for the event, located at the corner of S Mint Street and W Martin Luther King Boulevard. The address for Truist Field is 324 S Mint Street, Charlotte, NC 28202.
Where can I park?
Our preferred parking deck is the Mint Street Parking Garage located at 410 S Mint Street, right across from Truist Field. Parking in the Mint Street Parking Garage can be purchased at the same time and on the same page you purchase tickets to Light the Knights by clicking here to purchase Light the Knights Festival tickets.
Additional parking is available within a 1-3 block radius around the ballpark (hourly cost per vehicle will vary and is NOT available for purchase through the Charlotte Knights).
What is allowed/not allowed at the event?
Personal bags are allowed within the size limit of 9X14X14 inches; all bags will be checked at the main gates. Strollers are allowed. Please be mindful when walking through the holiday scenes. There is no outside food or drink allowed, and no smoking while inside the venue.
What is your rain policy for the event?
The event is rain or shine until it is unsafe for patrons to walk the holiday experience, ice skate, or snow tube. If severe weather occurs before or during the event, ticket buyers will be given the opportunity to exchange their tickets for another date during the Light the Knights Holiday Festival event calendar. There will be a daily weather message posted at 11 a.m. on the Charlotte Knights social media channels based on the current weather forecast for that date.
What is included in my ticket?
If you select the Admission Only ticket, you will have access to the holiday experience on the concourse level, the Tunnel of Lights, and the The Market shopping vendors.
If you select the “All Activities Pass,” you have access to all three entities for as much as you’d like for that selected date.
If you select either of the Season Pass options, you have access to the event for the entire event calendar.
Is there a kid price?
Kids ages three and under are free.
How do I access the field winter activities?
There will be designated field gate entrances with lit, directional signage from the concourse level and through the seating bowl seats.
How do I get to skate and snow tube during the festival?
Anyone wishing to skate and snow tube must have the "All Activities" ticket or upgrade to this ticket type. Once you have the ticket, you will need to collect your Activities wristband at the Check-In Area on the concourse level of the ballpark at the Garage Concession Area (located directly inside the main gates by the big Christmas tree). At the Check-In Area, staff will verify you have the "All-Activities" ticket type and provide you with your activities wristband. The wristband permits ice skating and snow tubing during that specific festival event date.
Where do I pick up my skates or snow tube?
Those wanting to skate will collect their skates at the Skate Tent on the field near the ice rink, and those wanting to snow tube will get in line and collect their tube at the hill. After you slide down the hill, you will hand off your tube to the next patron and can jump back in line for another turn.
Where can I put my personal belongings while I skate or snow tube?
There will be bins located in the Guest Services/Coat Check tent available to rent for personal belongings to be stowed away when ice skating or snow tubing. The Charlotte Knights are not responsible for any lost, stolen, or damaged personal belongings during the event.
How long can I ice skate or snow tube?
You are welcome to ice skate and snow tube for as long as you would like for the date of your purchased tickets.
Can I share a tube with another person?
Parents with children four and under can ride with their child sitting on their lap. All other participants must follow the one-person per-tube rule.
Do I have to purchase a ticket with activities included to enter the field?
You do not need a ticket with activities included to access the field. However, if you wish to skate or snow tube, you must add on the activities charge to your ticket price. You can upgrade your tickets in advance online, over the phone, or at the box office at the ballpark.
What is on the field during the event?
In addition to the ice rink and the snow tubing hill, there will be a food/drink tent to purchase concessions and seating areas around both activities. There will not be any restrooms on the field, so please use the restroom on the concourse level before you put on your skates.
What if I don’t have ice skates/socks/gloves?
All ice skating tickets include a pair of ice skates for rent, which must be picked up and dropped off at the activities check-in tent. Patrons may also bring their own skates.
Will there be concessions open during the event?
Select concession stands will be open during the event for ballpark fare as well as themed holiday menu items, such as hot chocolate and holiday cookies. All points of sale are cashless. Only debit/credit cards and Apple Pay are accepted.
Are the activities wheelchair/ADA accessible?
Anyone can participate in the holiday walkthrough experience with the light show, decorated scenes, the Tunnel of Lights, and the Market. Ice skating is the only on-field activity that is ADA-accessible, but spectators are welcome to go down to the field.
Can I bring my dog?
Dogs are allowed on the “Bark in the Park” promotional day on Sunday, December 8th. At all other times, no animals are allowed other than certified, trained service animals. Animals are not allowed on the ice rink or snow tubing hill.
Waiver Language
ASSUMPTION OF RISK: I am aware that the ice skating/ice slide involves certain inherent risks, dangers, and hazards which can result in serious personal injury or death. I am also aware that ice skating rinks contain dangers that can cause serious injury or death. Hereby freely agree to assume and accept ail known and unknown risks of injury arising out of ice skating activities. I recognize and acknowledge that risks of ice skating can be greatly reduced by: taking lessons, abiding by the Rules and Regulations of the rink, and using common sense.
RELEASE AND WAIVER OF CLAIMS AGREEMENTS: For allowing me to participate in public skating or ice slide, l agree to the fullest extend permitted by law as follows: 1) TO WAIVE ALL CLAIMS that I have or may have against the rink arising out of public skating at the rink. 2) TO RELEASE the rink and the Charlotte Knights Baseball Club from all liability for any damage, Injury or expense that I (or my next of kin) may suffer, arising out of ice skating, from any cause whatsoever, including negligence or breach of contract on the part of the rink, in operation, supervision, design or maintenance of the Rink. BE AWARE, SKATE WITH CARE, NO REFUNDS, NON-TRANSFERABLE.
