Collins Named IL Batter of the Week

During the course of the seven-game week, Collins homered in three consecutive games, including a two-homer game on August 14 at BB&T Ballpark against the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders. The two-homer game was his second of the season and first since Opening Knight (April 4). He also recorded six RBIs on August 14, tying his 2019 single-game high from July 30 at Norfolk.
For the season, Collins, is hitting .296 (77-for-260) with 51 runs scored, 19 doubles, one triple, 16 home runs, and 68 RBIs with the Knights in 77 games this season. Earlier this season, the 24-year-old had his contract purchased by the Chicago White Sox on June 18 and made his major league debut on June 19. He connected on his first career major league home run on June 21.
Collins is Charlotte's third player this season to earn IL Batter of the Week honors and second in as many weeks. Last week, the IL rewarded Ramón Torres with the weekly honor. Outfielder
