A

Accessible Parking
There are numerous parking options available when attending a Fireflies home game or special event at Segra Park. As the BullStreet District continues to develop, parking for Fireflies games will vary season to season. Every special event hosted at Segra Park will also have a different parking plan, so please contact the host of your specific event for parking details. In general, visitors to Segra Park are able to park in any of the street parking for free when there is no game or event taking place at the ballpark.

ADA parking is available on the first level of the Freed Street Parking Deck. For any games or events with post-game Fireworks throughout the year, free ADA Valet parking will be available on Boyce Street by the Dukes Investigations Ticket office. Entering by the Duke’s Investigations Ticket office is also the ADA accessible entrance to the park with a gradual ramp.

Here is the Segra Park parking map, as it applies to Fireflies games.

KultureCity

Since 2022, the Columbia Fireflies have partnered with KultureCity to make Segra Park Sensory inclusive. This means that we have designated a quiet room, trained our staff in sensory inclusivity, created a social story and have Sensory bags sponsored by Bigger Glass Company. These sensory bags can be found at Dukes Investigations Guest Services and will include headphones, sensory toys, and visual aids that might be helpful. In order to pick up a sensory bag, you will need your ID. You will trade your ID for bag and the bag back for your ID when you are finished. If you wish to drink alcohol, it is advised you visit an ID station to receive a drinking wristband prior to picking up a sensory bag. You can find our social story and more about our venue here: https://venue.kulturecity.org/venues/segra-park

S

Service Animals

In accordance with SC law, service animals are allowed at Segra Park at all times. The law requires that a service animal be trained to do work or perform tasks for an individual with one or more of the following types of disabilities:

  • physical
  • sensory
  • psychiatric
  • intellectual, or
  • other mental disability.

Tasks that service dogs provide as listed by the state of South Carolina include the following:

  • pulling a wheelchair
  • retrieving objects
  • providing physical support and assistance with balance and stability to an individual with a mobility disability
  • reminding an individual with a mental illness to take prescribed medications
  • calming an individual with post-traumatic stress disorder during an anxiety attack, and
  • doing other specific work or performing other special tasks.

All service animals must be in compliance with SC law and the ADA. All animals need to be immunized and vaccinated as appropriate. All vaccinations must be current, and animals must be in good health. Service animals must wear an owner identification tag (which includes the name and phone number of the owner) at all times. Animals must be on a leash, harness or other type of restraint at all times, unless the owner is unable to retain an animal on leash due to a disability. The owner must be in full control of the animal at all times. The care and supervision of the animal is solely the responsibility of the owner. The owner is expected to clean and dispose of all animal waste appropriately.

The service animal may be asked to leave if the animal is out of control and the handler does not take effective action to control it or the animal is not housebroken. This may include reactive behavior/biting other patrons etc. The owner will still be afforded the opportunity to obtain goods or services without the animal’s presence.

Though psychiatric and mental disability is listed in the law, this is different than an emotional support animal. Emotional support animals are not trained to complete specific tasks like service animals. Emotional Support animals are not allowed at Segra Park.
