Beaumont Golden Gators
The Golden Gators of the Texas League played at Lamar University's Vincent-Beck Stadium from 1983 to 1986. The Golden Gators, a San Diego Padres affiliate, won a championship in their inaugural season.
Beaumont alumni include future major leaguers John Kruk, Ozzie Guillén, Sandy AlomarJr., Joey Cora, Benito Santiago, and Lance McCullers.
