Do I have to feed the players?
No, you are not required to feed the players. Many Host Families will invite the players to join them for a meal from time to time but that is not required. What we do ask is that they are able to use your refrigerator to store food items if they need to and possibly space to store dry food.
Am I required to provide transportation?
No, you are not required to provide transportation, but if you can occasionally help that is appreciated. We do have some players that will come with a vehicle and we try to place them at houses where the Host Family is not able to help. Some Host Families will allow players to use an extra vehicle of theirs. However, if this is something that you want to do you need to make sure that the player has insurance and that your personal insurance knows someone else is driving your vehicle.
Do they pay us?
Yes, they do pay a small amount to live with you. It is $150 per month, which is normally split into two $75 payments for each month, except for the first double payment that happens at the beginning of June. The Great Falls Voyagers also provide you with a $300 credit to use on tickets to watch games.
How long do the Players stay with us?
The players will be going home with Host Families on a date TBD and the latest that they will be staying is mid-September. Almost half of that time they will be spending on the road in hotels.
