2021 Season & Ticket Updates

Indians Fans,

The news we have all patiently waited for during our extended offseason is finally here – Indianapolis Indians baseball will be back at Victory Field in 2021! The 120-game season features 60 home games – the first coming on Tuesday, May 11 – in what will end a 619-day layoff since the Indians last played at The Vic on Aug. 31, 2019.

Since Indianapolis last took the field, the landscape of the minor leagues has changed drastically. The Indians are now part of the 20-team Triple-A East and will face eight of those clubs in 2021, including the top affiliates of the Chicago Cubs, Cincinnati Reds and St. Louis Cardinals.

The 2021 schedule was constructed with COVID-19 precautions in mind and does not foreshadow potential scheduling plans for seasons to come. Intradivisional and regional games were the focus to assist with travel for all 20 teams along with homestands and road trips limited to facing only one opponent as well. With those factors in mind, the Indians will not play any of the six teams in the Triple-A Northeast Division (Buffalo, Lehigh Valley, Rochester, Scranton/Wilkes-Barre, Syracuse, Worcester) and five of the seven teams in the Southeast Division (Charlotte, Durham, Gwinnett, Jacksonville, Norfolk).

As we continue navigating the COVID-19 pandemic, the safety of our fans, partners, players and staff remains top priority. We will provide more information on single-game tickets, promotions, Victory Field safety guidelines and capacity restrictions in the coming weeks.

Frequently Asked Questions

When will the season start?

Indianapolis’ 2021 season begins on the road, Tuesday, May 4 at Iowa. The Indians’ first home game is scheduled for Tuesday, May 11 against Toledo, the Triple-A affiliate of the Detroit Tigers. First pitch is set for 7:05 PM.

When will tickets go on sale?

Season ticket packages are currently on sale and are the best way to receive priority seating. Reservations for premium areas such as suites and picnics will begin on March 1. Group tickets and single-game tickets will be put on sale at a later date. View more information about ticket options here.

Will there be seating restrictions due to COVID-19?

We are working closely with the Marion County Public Health Department to put together socially distanced seating and anticipate beginning our season at a limited capacity.

What can I do with my 2020 ticket credit?

Your ticket credit from 2020 can be applied toward a 2021 ticket purchase when single-game game tickets go on sale. What if I received credit for a Knot Hole Kids Club membership from the 2020 season?

If you received a credit for a Knot Hole Kids Club membership in 2020, your credit has already been rolled over into a 2021 membership.

Why was the 2021 schedule built the way it is? (6-game series, Monday off days, games against divisional and regional opponents)

The 2021 schedule was constructed with COVID-19 precautions in mind and does not foreshadow potential scheduling plans for seasons to come. Intradivisional and regional games were the focus to assist with travel for all 20 teams along with homestands and road trips limited to facing only one opponent as well. With the Triple-A season being delayed by one month, will the Indians make up games lost from April and early May?

As the schedule is currently constructed, the Indians are set to play 60 home games in 2021. The 10 games from April have not been rescheduled, but the May 1-2 games were reinserted into the schedule as home games against Omaha on July 13-14. All dates, opponents and times are subject to change.

When will the promotional calendar be released?

Game day and daily promotions will be released at a later date.

Is Victory Field open to the public?

Victory Field and the Hot Corner Gift Shop are open, with social distancing guidelines set forth by state and local public health authorities still in effect. You can also shop the Hot Corner Gift Shop online 24/7 at IndyIndians.com/Shop.

Is Victory Field prepared to provide a clean and healthy environment for fans?

Victory Field has always provided a safe, clean and healthy environment for fans during all games and events. We will be taking all precautions and implementing enhanced safety protocols as recommended by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and local health authorities.
