Fan Fest: Fun, tickets, tasting, voting

Individual game tickets on sale at March 15 event
February 27, 2014

(WHITAKER BANK BALLPARK, Lexington, Ky.) The Lexington Legends' annual Fan Fest promises plenty of fun for fans of all ages. And this year, it includes an opportunity for fans to exercise their right to vote.

The Fan Fest is scheduled for 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, March 15 at Whitaker Bank Ballpark. Individual game tickets for all 70 Legends home games will be on sale for the first time. Those who have purchased season tickets and mini plans may pick up their tickets at Fan Fest.

The polls will be open as the Legends invite fans to taste and vote on new concession stand menu items. One of the candidates: the "Hot Brown Dog" - a quarter-pound turkey dog, smothered in a made-from-scratch bacon roux sauce and topped with hand-diced tomatoes.

There will be inflatables and games for the kids, drawings for prizes, clubhouse tours and more. The Legends' Big L will be there, and a mustache-making station will allow fans to design their own replica of Big L's famous 'stache.

The Legends Locker merchandise store will be open throughout Fan Fest, with a wide variety of all-new Legends gear. The popular caps with the mustache logo, which have been sold to customers in all 50 states, are also in stock. In addition, fans will find merchandise from the Legends major league partner, the Kansas City Royals.

"The 2014 season is quickly approaching, and Fan Fest is one of the signs that spring is here!" said Director of Ticket Operations David Barry. "We're really excited about the new taste-testing and voting feature this year, and we welcome ALL Legends fans!"

There is no charge for admission to Fan Fest.

The Legends open the 2014 season Thursday, April 3 at Whitaker Bank Ballpark against the West Virginia Power, an affiliate of the Pittsburgh Pirates. For more information, call 859 422-7859 or visit lexingtonlegends.com.
