Andy Shea started with the Legends as a Ticket Sales Representative and parking attendant during the 2005 season and later served as General Manager for four years, from 2008 to 2011. He served as President and Chief Operating Officer from 2011 to 2014 before becoming CEO.
Andy graduated from Boston College in 2004 with a degree in marketing and human resources. During his time as a Golden Eagle, Andy played catcher and center fielder for the men's baseball team.
Andy currently serves on the board for LexArts. He served on the board for Junior Achievement from 2007 to 2017. Since March 2009, he has built relationships with 10 little brothers through Big Brothers Big Sisters, 3 of whom were groomsmen in his wedding. He was also the 2013 and 2015 champion of Dancing with the Lexington Stars, which supports the Rotary Club Endowment Fund and Surgery on Sundays. In 2016, Andy won the American Diabetes Association's Kiss-A-Pig Campaign Individual Winner award for his fundraising efforts towards curing and preventing diabetes. In 2017, he was honored to receive the Distinguished Philanthropist Award from the Association of Fundraising Professionals - Bluegrass Chapter for his significant contribution to the Central Kentucky community through his acts of kindness and charitable giving. Andy is on the Midway University Board of Trustees. He is also the Chairman of the 2019 American Red Cross Heroes Campaign and the Chairman of the March of Dimes - March for Babies Campaign 2020.
Andy is a native of Philadelphia, PA and is a proud fan of the Phillies and Eagles. When he's not at Whitaker Bank Ballpark, he enjoys hanging out with his wife Kristina and son Drew.
