Storm Chasers Announce 2011 Promo Calendar

PAPILLION, NE - The Omaha Storm Chasers are pleased to present a jam-packed promotional schedule for the 2011 season, including fireworks nights, theme nights, giveaways, daily specials and more, the team announced Tuesday. Individual-game tickets will go on sale to the public on Saturday, March 12 at 10 a.m. at Werner Park, online at omahastormchasers.com or by phone at (402) 738-5100.

"We're excited to continue with unbelievable giveaways," said Ben Hemmen, Promotions Manager for the Storm Chasers. "Beginning with a Werner Park Welcome Mat giveaway on Opening Night presented by Immanuel Communities, to Warren Buffett Jersey Night presented by Silverstone Group, to our brand-new T-shirt Tuesday on the first Tuesday of the month presented by QT and Pepsi, we'll have a lot to give our fans in addition to the ballpark experience."

Always a crowd-pleaser, the Storm Chasers have increased the number of fireworks shows to a record 19, including Opening Night, every Friday night presented by American Family Insurance, Independence Day weekend, select Saturdays and the final game of the year, Thursday, September 1st.

Theme nights will return with a slate of new themes and old favorites. Glee Night, Sarah Palin Night and Welcome to the Big Ten Night will join returning champions Star Wars Night and Jersey Shore Night, which won an ESPN The Magazine Veeckie Award in 2010. In addition, Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts will have their own nights with postgame campouts, and Bark in the Park Night will give our favorite canine companions a chance to check out Werner Park's new amenities.

Werner Enterprises will put on a postgame concert on Friday, July 15, and Walking Together Lutheran Ministries will present the ever-growing Faith and Family Night concert on Saturday, August 6. Announcements involving the scheduled performers for those concerts are forthcoming.

Other promotions of note include $1 Hot Dog Mondays presented by Rotella's, Kids Eat Free Wednesdays, Thirsty Thursdays and half-price hamburgers during day games, presented by Omaha Steaks. Fans will also get to see traveling acts such as Inflatamaniacs (April 20 & May 9), BirdZerk! (June 11), ZOOperstars! (July 16) and the Bucket Boys (July 23).
