Homestand Highlights: June 24 to 28

Second half of season starts at home for Rattlers

GRAND CHUTE, WI - The Wisconsin Timber Rattlers begin the second half of the Midwest League schedule with five games at Time Warner Cable Field. They host the Quad Cities River Bandits, the team that edged them out for the first half Western Division Wild Card, from June 24-26. The Peoria Chiefs, the Midwest League affiliate of the Chicago Cubs, are in town on June 27 and 28 before both teams head down to Milwaukee for a game at Miller Park on June 29.

The Rattlers have giveaways, promotions, and special visits for their five games in Grand Chute. Here is a look at all of the events of the first homestand of the second half:

FRIDAY, JUNE 24 at 7:05pm; North Shore Bank/95.9 KISS-FM Family Night, Lamers Magnet Schedule Giveaway, and Peanut Free Night: The ZOOperstars! are returning to the Fox Cities. These fan favorites will bring their hilarious hijinx and characters to the ballpark to entertain the whole family. The first 500 fans will receive a player magnet featuring former Timber Rattlers pitcher Matt Thornton. This is the second player magnet in a series of four from Lamers Bus Lines. Friday is also the third annual Peanut Free Night at Time Warner Cable Field. No peanuts will be available during the game to allow fans with peanut allergies to attend the game. As part of North Shore Bank/95.9 KISS Family Night, children 12 and under eat free. After the postgame fireworks display, Fazoli's invites children 14 and under to participate in Kids Run the Bases.

SATURDAY, JUNE 25 at 6:35pm; FOX 11 Fireworks, US Cellular Night, and Meet a Storybook Princess: The Timber Rattlers have opened their book of fairy tales and some of the most well known storybook princesses stepped out to appear at the ballpark on Saturday night. The characters will be available to meet the fans throughout the game. US Cellular Night allows for fans to present their US Cellular bill or US Cellular phone at the box office to purchase a reserved bleacher seat at regular price and receive a second reserved bleacher seat for free. US Cellular - and their mascot Cellby - will be on hand to welcome US Cellular customers. After the game, FOX 11 presents a Saturday Night fireworks display.

SUNDAY, JUNE 26 at 1:05pm; Brewers Sunday presented by 107.5, The Fan and Fox Valley Humane Association Webkinz Giveaway: The Fox Valley Humane Association is giving away Webkinz to the first 1,000 children ages 12 and under to attend Sunday's game. Before the game, fans may play catch on the field presented by momslikeme.com. During the game, the Timber Rattlers players will be wearing jerseys and caps based on those of the 1975 Milwaukee Brewers. After the game, players will be available for a post-game autograph session. Time Warner Cable subscribers may bring in their bill and receive up to four half priced reserve seat tickets on Sunday.

MONDAY, JUNE 27 at 7:05pm; Qdoba Q*Monday and Cody Hawn Poster Giveaway: The first 1,000 fans will receive a poster of Timber Rattlers first baseman Cody Hawn, poster #6 in a series of 10 that are being given away during the 2011 season. Qdoba Q*Monday means fans receive a free ticket to any Monday home game when they purchase a lunch entrée at the Qdoba by the Fox River Mall on a Monday when the Rattlers are at home.

TUESDAY, JUNE 28 at 7:05pm; 105.7 WAPL Bang for Your Buck Night, KRAFT Singles Tuesday Night Tickets, and Ladies Night: It's Ladies Night at Time Warner Cable Field. The first 400 female fans aged 18 and older to attend the game on June 28 will receive pink water bottles and gift bags from Knights Jewelry. Female fans may sign up at Knights Jewelry 220 E. Wisconsin Ave in Appleton or at the stadium starting on June 24 for a chance to be selected for a postgame diamond dig after Tuesday's game. For the diamond dig, one diamond will be buried amongst cubic zirconium in the beach seating area beyond the outfield fence in right-centerfield. Contestants will be selected through the registration boxes at both locations. Ten other contestants will be selected on Tuesday with golden tickets in the water bottles. There is also a pearl pendant giveaway from Rogers and Hollands during the game. Bang for Your Buck Night means Pepsi products, Cher-Make hot dogs, and Miller Beer products are available for $1. Plus, it is a KRAFT Singles Tuesday Night Tickets. Buy 1 Ticket, Get 1 Free from KRAFT Singles with purchase. Bring your package wrapper to a Timber Rattlers game on Tuesdays for a steal of a deal!

Tickets for the games at Time Warner Cable Field are available but in a limited quantity. Fans are urged to purchase their tickets in advance one of three ways: On-line at www.timberrattlers.com, over the phone at 800-WI-TIMBER, or in person at the Time Warner Cable Field Box Office.

The game between the Timber Rattlers and the Chiefs on Wednesday, June 29 will be played at Miller Park. Game time is 7:05pm. Tickets are $10 and are available through the Milwaukee Brewers ticket office at (414) 902-400 or (800) 933-7890 or through brewers.com. It was just announced that hotdogs and small Pepsi products will be available for $1 at this game.
