Flaming Tigers rally to win

Michael Hernandez hit a three-run homer in the seventh inning as Lakeland rallied to overcome Sarasota on Tuesday, 10-8.

Hernandez went 2-for-5 with four RBIs. His 11th homer of the year capped a six-run inning that tied the game, 8-8.

Ovandy Suero lifted a sacrifice fly in the eighth to give the Flying Tigers (28-35) their first lead of the game, and Wilkin Ramirez added an insurance run after a Derrik Lutz wild pitch in the ninth.

Derek Witt (1-0) allowed one run on three hits in three innings for the win. Freddy Dolsi held the Reds scoreless in the ninth, striking out one batter for his 10th save.

Lakeland starter Kyle Sleeth allowed six runs -- five earned -- on seven hits and one walk while fanning two in three innings.

Reds starter Ramon Ramirez gave up four runs -- three earned -- on five hits and two walks while striking out eight in 6 2/3 innings. Ruben Medina (3-1) gave up two runs on two hits while striking out one and walking two in 1 1/3 innings for the loss.

Craig Tatum and Daniel Dorn homered for Sarasota (39-25) while Michael DeJesus hit a single in the first to extend his hitting streak to 13 games. -- Steve Conley/MLB.com
