The name Ring of Fire Grille highlights the open flames used in cooking the items available. Inspiration for the name came from the classic Johnny Cash song of the same name. Pelicans Chairman Chuck Greenberg pointed out the team's parent club, the Texas Rangers, plays this song at Rangers Ballpark in Arlington whenever the home team mounts a rally with Texas runners circling the opponents' pitcher on the bases. The Pelicans will adopt this tradition at home games the rest of the season.

The opening of the Ring of Fire completes all the new enhancements to the Pelicans menu this season. Food items like fried pickles, giant turkey legs, funnel cakes, handmade ice cream waffle cones and fried bologna have already been available at concessions stands all season.

Fans can always get food and drinks at the main concession stands, where you can now try to survive your own Man v. Food conquest with two new options, giant turkey legs and a savory Boar's Head brisket sandwich. You will surely get a sugar rush with the new funnel cakes in the Bullpen Grille and hand-made waffle cones available at the Scoop Shoppe.
