Bats eclipse team runs record; Straily fans 13, allows one hit

Mets No. 3 prospect Jeurys Familia allowed five hits and struck out six over 6 1/3 shutout innings to win his second straight start as Buffalo beat Pawtucket, 8-2. Fred Lewis homered twice and Josh Satin and Matt Tuiasosopo also went deep for the Bisons. Lars Anderson doubled twice and scored a run for the PawSox.

Denis Phipps went 5-for-6 with four RBIs as part of a 23-hit night as Louisville set a team record for runs in a 22-1 romp over Gwinnett. Reds No. 6 prospect Neftali Feliz homered, doubled and drove in five runs for the Bats, who also got a grand slam from Chris Valaika. Tyler Pastornicky fell a homer shy of the cycle and scored the Braves' lone run.

Liam Hendriks gave up two runs on three hits over seven innings to improve to 7-0 as Rochester defeated visiting Toledo, 7-3. J.R. Towles slugged a two-run homer and scored twice for the Red Wings, while Bryan Holaday delivered a two-run double for the Mud Hens.

Jeanmar Gomez tossed a two-hitter and struck out seven for his third Minor League shutout as Columbus blanked Indianapolis, 2-0. Vinny Rottino smacked a solo homer and Tim Fedroff scored the Clippers' other run. Chase d'Arnaud and Tony Sanchez registered hits for the Indians.

Drew Garcia hit a walk-off infield single in the ninth inning to give Charlotte a 4-3 victory over Durham. Dan Johnson slugged his 22nd homer and doubled against his former team, while Stephen Vogt ripped a two-run shot for the Bulls.

Pat Misch gave up a run on two hits over seven innings to win his second straight start as Lehigh Valley shut down Norfolk, 4-1. Pete Orr doubled twice, drove in three runs and scored once for the IronPigs, while Brandon Waring accounted for the Tides' offense with his fourth homer.

Dan Straily struck out 13 and yielded one hit -- a solo homer -- over seven innings, but Sacramento fell to visiting Las Vegas, 1-0. Eric Thames produced the game's lone run with his third homer for the 51s, who got seven scoreless innings from Shawn Hill. Kila Ka'aihue picked up a pair of hits for the River Cats.

D-backs No. 3 prospect Tyler Skaggs gave up three hits over seven shutout innings in his third PCL start as Reno beat Salt Lake, 7-2. Mike Jacobs and Arizona No. 15 prospect Adam Eaton both fell a triple shy of the cycle for the Aces, who also got homers from Minor League RBI leader Ryan Wheeler and A.J. Pollock. Angels No. 17 prospect Luis Jimenez delivered a run-scoring single for the Bees.

Fernando Nieve allowed four hits over six innings as Albuquerque blanked Nashville, 7-0. Matt Angle and Brian Cavazos-Galvez combined for five hits, including two homers, and five RBIs for the Isotopes. Corey Patterson went 2-for-3 for the Sounds.

Royals No. 2 prospect Wil Myers continued to rake, going 2-for-3 with a double and a run scored as Omaha edged Iowa, 4-3. Clint Robinson added an RBI double and Kansas City No. 14 prospect Will Smith gave up one run on seven hits over seven innings for the Storm Chasers. Alfredo Amezaga knocked in two runs out of the leadoff spot for the Cubs, while Josh Vitters picked up the other RBI.

Tyler Lyons surrendered three hits over seven innings for his first Triple-A win as Memphis topped Round Rock, 5-0. Cardinals No. 6 prospect Zack Cox homered, doubled and scored twice for the Redbirds, while Adron Chambers singled twice and drove in two runs. Brad Nelson led the Express with a double and a pair of walks.

Mike Cervenak smacked a three-run homer as New Orleans scored four times over the final two innings to defeat Oklahoma City, 10-8. Donnie Murphy and Marlins No. 9 prospect Kevin Mattison also went deep for the Zephyrs, while Gaby Sanchez contributed three RBIs. Carlos Corporan went 3-for-4 with a homer, two RBIs and three runs scored in the losing effort.

Andrew Brown hit a pair of solo homers, including an 11th-inning shot that gave Colorado Springs a 4-3 win at Tacoma. Tommy Field also went deep for the Sky Sox, while Mariners No. 3 prospect Nick Franklin slugged his second Triple-A longball for the Rainiers. Top Seattle prospect Danny Hultzen allowed two runs -- one earned -- on eight hits and struck out seven over five innings for Tacoma.

Brock Bond, Ryan Lollis and Nick Noonan combined to go 6-for-13 with seven RBIs and four runs scored as Fresno topped Tucson, 8-5. Yusmeiro Petit allowed three runs -- two earned -- on five hits over seven frames to notch his fourth victory. Matt Clark knocked in a pair, while Padres No. 4 prospect Jedd Gyorko contributed an RBI single in the losing cause.
