Red Sox vs. Pelicans Rained Out Thursday Night

Game Will Not Be Made Up, All Tickets Honored

MYRTLE BEACH, SC- Heavy Rains at TicketReturn.com Field Thursday evening have forced the scheduled game between the Salem Red Sox and Myrtle Beach Pelicans to be cancelled. The game will not be made up due to this being the last scheduled game for the two teams for 2012. All tickets purchased for Thursday's game become rain checks and can be exchanged for tickets to future 2012 regular season home games, based on availablilty.

This was the final game of an eight game homestand for the Pelicans. Due to the cancellation, the Pelicans end the homestand 5-2 in the two series against the Carolina Mudcats and Salem Red Sox. They now go on the road for a first place showdown with first place Winston- Salem for three games. Coming into the day the Pelicans sat two and a half games back from the Dash. Thursday's scheduled starter Luke Jackson will take on Justin Callop on Friday night at 7PM in Winston-Salem.

After that, the Pelicans make the long trip north after Winston-Salem to Wilmington, Delaware to face the Wilmington Blue Rocks for the final time. They are scheduled for a four game series with the Rocks from Monday to Thursday followed by an off day on Friday, August 31.

The Pelicans return home for the final series of the 2012 regular season on Saturday, September 1 versus the Lynchburg Hillcats. The Hillcats won the first half title of the Carolina League Northern Division. Tickets may be exchanged at the Pelicans ticket office Monday through Friday from 10AM to 5PM.
