Rogowski, Knoedler homer in Game 1 win over RedHawks

Casey Rogowski and Justin Knoedler hit two-run homers Tuesday, powering the Sacramento River Cats to an 8-4 triumph over the Oklahoma RedHawks at Raley Field in Game 1 of the Pacific Coast League Championship Series.

Knoedler went deep in the fifth inning to give Sacramento a 3-2 lead and Rogowski homered to cap a four-run seventh. The defending PCL champions have hit 18 roundtrippers in five playoff games.

Carlos Gonzalez went 3-for-4 with a pair of RBIs and Chris Denorfia chipped in two hits and scored twice for the River Cats, who host Game 2 on Wednesday.

Sacramento starter Brett Anderson (1-0) allowed two runs on six hits over five innings in his Triple-A debut. The former second-round pick walked one and struck out three.

Oklahoma's Elizardo Ramirez (0-2) gave up four runs on nine hits while striking out five and walking one over six frames.

John Mayberry hit a pair of solo homers and Casey Benjamin and Ryan Roberts also went deep for the RedHawks. Box score
