Salt River 7, Scottsdale 5
With the help of a go-ahead two-run single off the bat of top Cardinals prospect Jordan Walker, the Rafters earned their first AFL victory after losing eight straight to open up the campaign. While MLB's sixth-ranked overall prospect put Salt River on top in the end, Zac Veen got things started for Salt River with a walk and steals of second and third. The latter forced an errant throw that enabled the top Rockies prospect to score the first run of the game in the bottom of the first inning. Ranked No. 23 overall, Veen collected two singles and stole a third bag in the eighth to put two runners in scoring position for Walker's eventual game-winning knock. Dillon Dingler, the No. 10 Tigers prospect, reached base three times for Salt River, while Nick Yorke -- the fourth-ranked Red Sox prospect -- drove in two runs for Scottsdale. More »

Mesa 9, Peoria 2
On a hitter-friendly Fall League circuit, a standout pitching performance becomes that much more impressive. Ryan Cusick, the Athletics’ No. 13 prospect acquired from the Braves in the Matt Olson trade, continued his strong AFL start with five innings of three-hit, one-run ball in Mesa's win over Peoria. The 22-year-old only tossed 43 innings in 2022 after suffering a broken rib, but has shown out in two AFL outings, allowing one earned run on five hits across nine frames of work. The Solar Sox offense gave Cusick plenty of run support, behind three-RBI efforts from fellow Oakland prospect Lawrence Butler (No. 14) and T.J. Rumfield (Yankees), while No. 12 Rays prospect Mason Auer added a two-RBI triple. Padres prospect Nerwilian Cedeno (No. 26) went 3-for-4 with a two-run homer for the Javelinas. More »
