WORCESTER, M.A. — The Worcester Red Sox (54-50) scored in five of their first six offensive innings on the way to a third straight win over the Durham Bulls (56-48), a 9-1 victory on Saturday afternoon at Polar Park.
The WooSox jumped all over Luis Patiño in the first, knocking the Durham starter out of the ballgame after seven batters. A pair of walks put two on with one out for Ronaldo Hernandez, and the Worcester cleanup man got the scoring started, lining a 2-2 pitch through the left side to score Abraham Almonte.
Triston Casas was next, and he smashed a double off the base of the wall in left-center, plating Enmanuel Valdez. Jose Peraza followed with a two-run single up the middle to make it 4-0 after one.
Devlin Granberg led off the second with his second Triple-A homer, a ball that landed on the berm in left to extend the lead to 5-0. By day’s end, Granberg would go 3-for-4 with two long balls, his second three-hit game with Worcester.

WooSox starter Connor Seabold went 3.1 innings, allowing a single run on a third-inning homer to Grant Witherspoon. The right-hander struck out five, allowing four hits and one walk in his second start since his return from the injured list.
Worcester scored two in the fourth on an Abraham Almonte two-run single, and in the fifth, Granberg clocked his second home run, this time to right-center.
On the mound, the WooSox bullpen was excellent—Geoff Hartlieb, Durbin Feltman and Frank German combined to post the following line: 5.2 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 6 K. Hartlieb earned the win, Feltman did not allow a hit and German struck out four in his ninth straight scoreless appearance.
