The Isotopes' (47-50) offense exploded on Thursday afternoon at Isotopes Park for 16 runs en route to a 16-1 victory and a series split with the El Paso Chihuahuas (52-46). The win moves the Isotopes to within 4.5 games of the first place Chihuahuas.

The Isotopes (44-42) blanked the Rainiers (45-42) on Thursday, shutting out Tacoma by a score of 2-0. The victory marks the first shutout for the Isotopes since Aug. 31, 2017.
