ASHEVILLE- The Asheville Tourists dropped Saturday night’s game to the Aberdeen IronBirds by a final score of 5-1. Aberdeen kept Asheville’s offense relatively quiet on a night where neither team did much at the plate.

BOWLING GREEN- The Asheville Tourists and the Bowling Green Hot Rods split a double-header on Thursday night. Bowling Green took Game One 9-1 before Asheville responded in Game Two with a 4-1 victory.

ASHEVILLE- The Asheville Tourists played the Winston-Salem Dash tough for nine innings on Tuesday, however came up short by a final score of 7-1. Asheville and Winston-Salem each had ten hits and the Tourists starting pitcher, Jose Guedez, did not allow a hit until the fifth inning.

GREENVILLE- The Asheville Tourists fell to the Greenville Drive 8-5 on Thursday night. Greenville scored six of their eight runs in the first two innings and Asheville was unable to overcome the six-run deficit.

ASHEVILLE- The Asheville Tourists had a hard time with the Greensboro Grasshoppers on Thursday night and fell by a final score of 15-2. It was one of those games where Greensboro clicked on all cylinders while Asheville had a few bounces go the wrong way.

ASHEVILLE- The Malmo Oat Milkers took the field as the Asheville Tourists alter ego on Sunday afternoon and were defeated by the Greenville Drive 9-2. The Drive used a stretch in the middle of the game where they scored eight runs in a three-inning span.

HICKORY- The Asheville Tourists took care of business on Tuesday night with a 4-3 series opening victory against the Hickory Crawdads. Jake Bloss and Joey Mancini each pitched four strong innings and Jeremy Molero earned his first save of the season.

ASHEVILLE- The Asheville Tourists defeated the Brooklyn Cyclones 7-3 on Wednesday afternoon and evened up the series at one game apiece. Asheville pounded out a season-high 14 hits, including four from Collin Price, and moved their early season record back over .500 at 3-2.

ASHEVILLE- The Asheville Tourists dropped a tough one to the Winston-Salem Dash on Saturday night, 9-3. Asheville had a hard time making contact against Winston-Salem’s hard throwing lefties and struck out 19 times in the game.
