July 30, 2014: The Rattlers beat Kane County 2–0 at home. Tristan Archer allowed five hits and struck out eleven over seven scoreless innings for Wisconsin. Zach Quintana worked a 1–2–3 eighth, but gave up a pair of singles to start the ninth inning before getting the final three outs
July 30, 2014: The Rattlers beat Kane County 2–0 at home. Tristan Archer allowed five hits and struck out eleven over seven scoreless innings for Wisconsin. Zach Quintana worked a 1–2–3 eighth, but gave up a pair of singles to start the ninth inning before getting the final three outs of the game. Omar Garcia scored both Wisconsin runs.
2012: The Rattlers won 7–0 at Clinton. Matt Miller (6IP) and Stephen Peterson (3IP) combined on the seven-hit shutout. Nick Ramirez hit a two-run homer in the third and added an RBI single in the eighth for three RBI. Max Walla also homered in the game.
2003: The Rattlers won 6–3 at Cedar Rapids. The Kernels scored three runs on four straight two-out hits in the bottom of the first. THEN, Jon Nelson hit a grand slam in the top of the third inning. Wisconsin added two runs in the eighth inning on an RBI triple by Tomo Aoki and an RBI single by Luis Cordova. Juan Sandoval recovered after the first inning and went seven strong innings for the win.
2001: The Rattlers beat South Bend 4–3 in ten innings at home. Wisconsin had a 3–2 heading into the top of the ninth ining, but Craig Ansman hit a game-tying, solo home run off Derrick Van Dusen. Van Dusen pitched nine innings, allowed three runs on seven hits with a walk and seven strikeouts but got a no decision in the game. In the bottom of the tenth, Derrick Gutierez doubled with one out. The Silver Hawks walked Pedro Liriano intentionally with two outs and followed that by walking Ariel Durango to load the bases. Aric Leclair was called in from the South Bend bullpen and Jamie Bubela dragged a bunt single up the first base line to score the run and give Wisconsin a walkoff win.
1999: The Rattlers beat Beloit 12–10 at home. Wisconsin had a 7–1 lead after scoring six runs in the bottom of the third. TheSnappers scored four in the sixth and three in the seventh, but Wisconsin responded in their half of each inning and scored enough to hold off a late Beloit rally. Ramon Valera was 4-for-5 with two runs and two RBI and Fernando Espino homered, had three hits, and drove in three runs for Wisconsin. The Rattlers had 18 hits in the game.
