Owlz Sloppy in 11-7 Loss to Vibes

(Orem, UT) The Orem Owlz (1-1) committed seven errors on Saturday night as the Rocky Mountain Vibes (1-1) cranked out 14 hits, beating the Owlz 11-7 in the second game of a four-game series at the Home of the Owlz.
The Owlz were unable to continue their momentum from a season-opening win on Friday night. The Owlz jumped out to a 3-0 lead thanks to a Johan Sala three-run home run in the second inning, his second home run in as many days.

The Owlz lead didn't last long as Rocky Mountain scored four runs in the third inning on a pair of homers, but the Owlz would bounce back, retaking the lead in the fourth inning.
Rocky Mountain batted eight times in the sixth inning, scoring five runs to take a 9-5 lead. After the Owlz grabbed a pair of runs in the sixth inning, the Vibes put the game away, taking those two runs back in the eighth, beating the Owlz 11-7.
Owlz starter Sadrac Franco went four innings and struck nine batters, topping his previous career high of six. Reliever Matt Leon (0-1) was charged with the loss while Maiker Pinto (1-0) earned the win. The Owlz and the Vibes continue the series on Sunday afternoon at 4:00 when Dylan King makes his professional debut for the Owlz against Blake Lillis for the Vibes.
