Having begun as the Butte Copper Kings in 1978, the team relocated to Casper, Wyoming in 2001 as the Casper Rockies until 2007 and then as the aptly named, “Casper Ghosts” until 2011. The team became the Grand Junction Rockies beginning with the 2012 season. The club won the League Title in 1981.
Notable former players include: Cecil Fielder, Todd Helton, Dexter Fowler, Trevor Story and Nolan Arenado.
