Selected by the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim in the fifth round of the 2021 MLB Draft out of the University of South Carolina...signed with the Angels on July 16, 2021... made his Angels debut with Inland Empire on Aug. 12, 2021 against Rancho Cucamonga... promoted by the Angels to Double-A Rocket City on Sept. 9, 2021 and made his Double-A debut on Sept. 10 at Birmingham.

At South Carolina, Kerry's fastball topped out at 96 mph while working as a starter and a reliever... he posted a 2.54 ERA across 45 career appearances over three seasons with the Gamecocks... went 5-1 with a 2.15 ERA and four saves while striking out 84 batters in 54 1/3 innings in his final (junior) season at South Carolina in 2021, where he was selected to the NCBWA Stopper of the Year Watch List, NCBWA All-America third team and D1Baseball All-America second team... made a variety of lists and honors in 2019 as a freshman, including D1Baseball Freshman All-American, Perfect Game Freshman All-American, Collegiate Baseball Freshman All-American, NCBWA All-Freshman Team and SEC All-Freshman Team... majored in operations and supply chain at South Carolina

Prior to South Carolina, Kerry was a part of three straight state championship teams (2016, ’17, ’18) at Wesleyan Christian Academy, where he tied current San Diego Padre Wil Myers for career wins and hit .385 with 18 RBIs for the Trojans in 2018, his senior season... went 10-1 with a 0.60 ERA and struck out 111 and walked just eight in 69 1/3 innings in 2018... honored as All-USA TODAY North Carolina second team honoree (2018), NCISAA All-State and All-PACIS (2018), Greensboro News and Record Player of the Year (2018) and Greensboro News and Record All-Area (2017).... son of Larry and Bev Kerry
