Went 7-4 with a 1.32 ERA, 101 strikeouts and .175 BAA over 88 2/3 innings (17 appearances, 13 starts) at Mizzou in 2019... his 1.32 ERA was No. 3 in the NCAA and No. 1 in the SEC... his 0.96 WHIP finished 22nd in the nation and sixth in the SEC... he had five, 10-plus strikeout performances, the most by a Tiger hurler since Kyle Gibson produced four in 2009... as a sophomore in 2018, he finished the regular season ranked ninth in the SEC in strikeout-walk-ratio and was 10th in strikeouts per nine innings... as a freshman in 2017, he ranked eighth in the SEC in ERA and seventh among all freshmen nationally and was named a Midseason First-Team All-American by PerfectGame.com, the only freshman of the team... majored in health science
Prior to Mizzou, Sikkema attended Central DeWitt High School and played for his father, Shane Sikkema... guided Central Dewitt to a state quarterfinal appearance as a senior, going 8-1 with a 1.03 ERA and 107 strikeouts... limited batters to .107 hitting during his senior season and had a quarter of his team’s 32 wins that year while hitting .483 with 11 RBIs... in his high school career, Central Dewitt went 133-78 while he went 30-5 on the mound with a 0.83 ERA and 370 strikeouts, limiting batters to .136 hitting... was named to the All-State Super Team in both 2015 and 2016... also played soccer, earning All-District honors in 2015 and 2016... was a four-time honor roll member, multiple time academic all-district as well... played four sports all four years of high school: baseball, basketball, football and soccer
