Fightins Unveil 2014 Promotional Schedule
After a week of promotional previews that included nights ranging from Cowboy Monkey Rodeo to the John Kruk Garden Gnome giveaway, the Reading Fightin Phils, Double-A affiliate of the Philadelphia Phillies, have revealed their full 2014 promotional schedule. Individual game tickets for the 2014 season are on sale now via Fightins.com, by phone at 610-370-BALL, or in-person at the Fightins Ticket Office at FirstEnergy stadium.
"Our promotional schedule literally has something for everyone," said Fightin Phils General Manager Scott Hunsicker. "We combined the suggestions of our fans and our staff to make for a promotional schedule that is featuring some unprecedented promotions in Minor League Baseball."

The Fightins kick off their 48th season affiliated with the Phillies on Thursday, April 3rd when the club gives out a Chase Utley Fightins Bobblehead to the first 3,000 adults 15 and over thanks to CJ's Tire and Automotive Services as part of Fightin Phils Opening Night festivities. The night also features a VIP On-Field Warning Track Cocktail Party and a jersey raffle where 25 random fans in attendance will receive a game-worn jersey thanks to VF Outlets.
Along with the Chase Utley Bobblehead, the team will also be giving out a Ryne Sandberg Bobblehead on April 18th, a Jim Bunning Bobblehead on June 12th, John Kruk Garden Gnome on June 30th, Domonic Brown Bobblehead on July 9th, and Cole Hamels Bobblehead on July 27th.
As in past seasons, the Fightins will host a large handful of the always-popular Fireworks nights. Starting on April 5, the team will hold 28 fireworks nights, including the Largest Fireworks Show of the Year on July 3 in honor of Independence Day.
Independence Day won't be the only holiday celebrated at the ballpark this summer. Due to the popular success of last year's Christmas in July promotion, the first 5,000 fans on July 25th will receive a limited edition Fightins Christmas in July Santa Hat as part of the mid-summer celebration thanks to CJ's Tire and Automotive Services. 25 lucky fans will also win a game-worn Fightins Christmas Jersey because of CJ's.
The Fightins didn't stop at just Christmas, though, because on August 10th at 5:05 p.m., the team will give out a Fightins Zombie figure to the first 2,000 kids 14 and under as part of Halloween in August festivities. The night is also a Kids Club FREE Ticket game with a Halloween Trick-or-Treating and Costume Contest starting at 3:00 p.m.
There will also be a Belated Mother's Day Fightins Fashion Scarf giveaway to first 2,000 women 15 and over thanks to Thirty-One/The Silver Bells Team and an Early Father's Day Fightins Neck Tie giveaway to 2,000 men over 15 thanks to Refreshing Mountain Camp.
Baseballtown will play host to two popular touring acts in professional sports as Cowboy Monkey Rodeo: Monkeys Riding Dogs Herding Sheep stops into town on June 18th. The Human Cannonball, David "The Bullet" Smith, Jr. will return in 2014 to see if he can make another death-defying jump over FirstEnergy Stadium.
2014 will also see the Fightins welcome guests, both new and old, to FirstEnergy Stadium. Former WWE and WCW wrestler Scott Hall (aka Razor Ramon) will be on hand for Professional Wrestling Night on Friday, August 22nd where he will sign autographs. Baseball Hall of Famer Jim Bunning will make his long-awaited return on June 12th when he is inducted to the Reading Baseball Hall of Fame. He will also sign autographs in Thompkins VIST Bank Plaza at the game.
A handful of fan-favorite promotions will also be back this season. On August 23rd, it will once again be Harley Night where 2,500 adults 18 and over will receive a Harley Game Cap. There will also be a Harley Game-Worn Jersey Auction & Motorcycle Raffle thanks to Classic Harley-Davidson and Alex's Lemonade Stand. Also making their returns are Gluttony Night on July 2 where fans can purchase an all-you-can-eat wristband at the concession stands for just $8, the 13th Annual Morning Game on June 9th, and Fan Appreciation Night on August 24th.
In addition to giveaways mentioned above, other adult giveaways include a Reading Red Sox Throwback Hat thanks to All Star Distributing/Coors Light on April 4th, a Fightins Beer Yard to All Star Distributing on May 5th, an America's Classic Ballpark T-Shirt thanks to Texstyles Screen Printing and Embroidery and Keystone Tees on July 7th, a Baseballtown Game Cap thanks to The Victory Bank, a Fightins Home Plate Shaped Door Mat thanks to PSECU, and a FirstEnergy Stadium Replica thanks to FirstEnergy.

The Fightin Phils will kick off the 2014 season on Thursday, April 3rd at 7:05 p.m. at FirstEnergy Stadium when the team takes on the Portland Sea Dogs.
