Reading, PA -- The Reading Phillies have announced the return of many great food items for their concession areas at FirstEnergy Stadium in 2010, and are pleased to introduce five new items for fans this season.

New to the menu in 2010 will be some favorite snack items which fans can chow down on while watching an R-Phils game this season. Mozzarella sticks, served with marinara sauce, as well as the "walking taco", will be added to this season's menu, and fans will be able to purchase those items at the right field food court. While there are many variations to the walking taco, the R-Phils' version will combine the great taste of Fritos, nacho cheese, chilli, and sour cream, and will be served in a Frito Lay bag. Eaten with a fork, the walking taco is a treat everyone can enjoy.

"We are happy to be able to add a couple of new food items this season, which we think fans will really enjoy," said Director of Operations Andy Bortz. "Great food at an affordable price has always been something we've done here in Reading. We strive to bring new items each year, and with the ballpark expansions next season, more great items will be available in the coming seasons."

Also new to the ballpark in 2010 is a "Nuts for You" stand, which will be located behind the Fairgrounds Square Mall Third Base Picnic Area. "Nuts for You" offers fans gourmet nuts, and R-Phils fans will be able to choose from cashews, almonds, and even kettle corn, when they enter FirstEnergy Stadium this season.

While five new items have been added, the food options at FirstEnergy Stadium still range from the classic ballpark fare of hot dogs, peanuts and Cracker Jacks, to specialty items such as funnel cake, the popular cheeseburger dog, and the "churger" -- which combines a burger and chicken breast separated by a slice of American cheese on a fresh roll. Pizza, pierogies, cheese steaks, onion rings, and Italian sausage, are just some of the other items fans can expect when entering the gates each season.

For children, the popular kid's meal is always on the menu, and this year there will be an extra added item every child will enjoy - a collectible toy. Consisting of a hot dog or a peanut butter and jelly sandwich - your choice, the kid's meal also features apple slices, Goldfish crackers, a Crazy Hot Dog Vendor hat, a juice box, and new in 2010, a collectible toy.

Also this season, the Reading Phillies are offering any fan the opportunity to add the all-you-can-eat Deck Buffet to any ticket, (Blue Box, Yellow Box, Red Reserved, or General Admission) for only $11. The wristband grants fans access to the 2 1/2 hour all-you-can-eat Deck Buffet, located in left field. The deck menu includes barbecued chicken, burgers, hot dogs, baked beans, pasta & potato salads, cookies, lemonade, iced tea and Pepsi products.

Full season and partial season ticket packages for the 2010 season, presented by Pepsi, as well as tickets to the all-you-can-eat picnic buffet areas, are on sale now and can be purchased in person at FirstEnergy Stadium, by calling (610) 375-8469 or by visiting www.readingphillies.com.
