RENO, Nev. - October 1st marks the beginning of the MLB postseason, and the Reno Aces will be well represented throughout October. Each of the 10 teams to make the playoffs had at least one player with ties to Reno on their regular-season 40-man roster. Not all teams have yet declared their postseason roster, but a total of 20 former Aces finished the season on a playoff team's 40-man roster. The AL Wild Card team featured three former aces during the regular season.
Oakland A's
The lone Reno representative on Oakland is pitcher Yusmeiro Petit. After a 6.89 ERA in 15.2 innings with Reno during the 2009 season, Petit posted a career-best 2.71 ERA this season. Petit earned 71 punchouts in 83 innings across a league-leading 80 games.

Hosting Anderson and the Brewers are the Nationals, who feature four former aces on their Wild Card roster. Eaton (pictured above) hit .279 with 49 RBIs in over 600 plate appearances for the Nats this season. In 2012, Eaton posted one of the best offensive season in Reno history. The left-handed outfielder set Aces records in batting average (.381), runs (119), hits (186), doubles (46), stolen bases (38) and on-base percentage (.456).
