LANSING, MI -
Clemens, the Detroit Tigers third-round pick in the 2018 MLB Draft, lined a solo shot in the fourth inning for his first professional home run. An inning later, Clemens doubled-down with his second longball of the contest - a towering blast for his second home run in as many at-bats. The game was played in front of 11,302 fans - the largest crowd the Whitecaps have played in front of this season.
With the game tied at two in the fifth, Rivera sent a mile-high fly ball to right that snuck over the wall for his seventh homer of 2018. In the seventh, Deatherage recorded his fourth hit of the night with an RBI-triple to extend the lead to 6-3 before a two-out single in the ninth to give West Michigan its first 5-for-5 performance since Dylan Burdeaux on August 20 of last season.
