Whitecaps 2016 Tickets On Sale

COMSTOCK PARK, MI - Major League Spring Training isn't the only thing that begins Tuesday. Here in West Michigan, the Whitecaps are gearing up for baseball season as well, as individual tickets for all 2016 Whitecaps games are now on sale!

The first 500 fans who purchase tickets in person at the Fifth Third Ballpark Box Office will receive a pair of Whitecaps mittens (minimum two tickets purchased at regular price to qualify). The mitten promotion runs during box office hours while supplies last.

The Whitecaps' 23rd season, and 20th as Tigers affiliate, begins on Thursday, April 7 at South Bend, and the first home game is scheduled for Saturday, April 9 against the South Bend Cubs at 4 p.m. Ticket prices remain at $15.00 for premium box seats, $13.00 for box seats, $11.50 for reserved seats and $7.00 for lawn seats.

The Safeco 4Topps premium seating area has been enlarged for 2016 due to demand. Tickets are $100 for a table of four.

The Whitecaps have been working hard this offseason to put together another exceptional promotional schedule, which includes several popular promotions returning as well as new promotions that fans are sure to enjoy.

Among the highlights are the return of Family Fare Fireworks following 20 games, including all Wednesday and Saturday games from June to September, as well as selected other dates, including the first Family Fare Fireworks game of the season on Friday, April 22. In addition, the fan favorite Dime Hot Dog nights presented by Wolverine Building Group are back for four Tuesdays: May 17, June 28, July 5 and August 2.

Tiger Fridays return with appearances by former Detroit Tiger players every Friday beginning June 10 (seven dates). The 2016 Tiger Friday line-up features Jack Billingham (June 10), Joel Zumaya (July 8), Frank Tanana (July 22), Duke Sims (August 5), Mickey Lolich (August 12), Vince Coleman (August 19) and Lloyd Moseby (September 2). Each of those nights will include a Tigers giveaway item for the first 1,000 fans.

  • Saturday, April 9 - Opening Day with 2015 Championship Replica Rings for the first 1,000 fans presented by Fifth Third Bank
  • Friday, May 6 - James McCann Bobblehead presented by United Manufacturing
  • Saturday, May 28 - Team Ghostriders appearance (monkeys riding dogs herding sheep) and Planet of the Apes Night
  • Thursday, June 30 - Social Media Night presented by Little River Casino Resort
  • Wednesday, July 6 - LEGO Night
  • Saturday, July 9 - Star Wars Night presented by Cosmic Candy
  • Wednesday, July 20 - Princess Night
  • Saturday, July 30 - Superhero Night presented by Western Michigan University
  • Wednesday, August 3 - Minion Night presented by Spartan Nash

Tickets for all 2016 games can be purchased by visiting www.whitecapsbaseball.com, by calling the Whitecaps front office at 616-784-4131, or in person at the Fifth Third Ballpark box office window inside the CapSized Shop. The box office is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday during the pre-season. Once the season starts the box office will be open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday as well as during games.
 
Discounted tickets for groups of 20 or more are on sale now, as are season ticket packages, including mini plans, partial season, flex books and full season plans.
