Whitecaps 2015 schedule
The West Michigan Whitecaps released their 2015 season schedule. The team's 22nd season will begin at home on Thursday, April 9 at 6:35 p.m. versus the Dayton Dragons.
Fireworks will be flying at the ballpark with 20 Family Fare Fireworks Nights scheduled, including Opening Night, and summertime Wednesday and Saturday home game and selected additional nights.
Seven popular Tiger Friday nights are scheduled, beginning with the Friday, June 5 game against Quad Cities and every home Friday night thereafter. Three 11 a.m. school days are set for Wednesday, May 13, Thursday, May 14, and Wednesday, June 3. In addition, several weekday noon games are on the schedule, concentrated in the first month of the season for the comfort of fans to take advantage of warmer spring daytime temperatures.
Dime Dog Nights will return in 2015, with four Tuesday nights scheduled for the popular discounted hot dogs beginning on May 12.
The Whitecaps front office staff is already working hard to fill the home dates with promotions. Weekly promotions include Helen DeVos Children's Hospital Family Days on Sunday, JQ99 Bulletin Nights on Monday, SA Advisors Silver Slugger games for seniors on Wednesday and Altogas Thrifty Thursdays featuring $2.00 hot dogs, $2.00 20oz beers and $2.00 Pepsi products.
Many more promotions will be added throughout the off-season. Promotions will be uploaded to the Whitecaps website as they are booked.
Whitecaps games will be back on the radio, on flagship station 107.3 WBBL FM.
Fans can purchase season tickets and mini plans beginning Monday, October 27 by calling the Whitecaps front office at (616) 784-4131. Tickets for groups of 20 or more, including private party areas, will go on sale in November. Individual game tickets will go on sale in early 2015.
