The Wind Engine was built solely from found objects: a dead Osage Orange hedge tree trunk, a cultivator cup anemometer, a 1926 Baker-Monitor pump jack engine, and an exhaust manifold augmented by three chunks of lava rock that create an illusion of exhaust smoke.

Around the Horn is an abstraction of the Arkansas River from which Riverfront Stadium gets its name. The river flows through the heart of our city, ever-surging onward, carrying with it life and vitality. Converging, meandering in and out, but ultimately always moving forward.

Blue wave patterns embody the trajectory of energy created as players come in contact with the ball, also the stream of wind that carries it to the next play. Swing for the Fences is lenticular art which changes as it is viewed from different angles. The movement of the players and the ball comes to life through the movement of the viewer. From one angle the spectator experiences the fluidity of a winning play, and from another angle they can enjoy the intricacy of each piece as it becomes a whole.

The Imposing Sky, in collaboration with House of Sharp is a representation of Wichita’s synergy - the whole being greater than the sum of its parts. Like our city, each unique part is designed to shine on its own, but works together under the Kansas sun to create something transcendent, dynamic, and vibrant. While being a figurative reflection of Wichita's spirit, The Imposing Sky also offers a literal reflection of what makes our city great: its people and its sky.

Mounted like a jewel, an artifact of Wichita‘s baseball past cast in 1997 by three local artists for the Lawrence-Dumont stadium originally on this site, the dynamic scene is mounted in a setting that draws the eye with its linear forced perspective. From games to celebrations of all kinds, the elevated frieze will offer a welcome to visitors, glowing with optimism.

Triple Play is inspired by a contrast inherent in the game of baseball: periods of quiet anticipation punctured by moments of intense activity. 9,993 circular portals offer views within three stellated luminous radiators, hosting an alternatingly placid and dynamic play of color and light.

The screen wall is composed of geometric principles with roots in Islamic architecture. The design waves and ripples as the center orb passes through the geometry beyond. The multi-tiered ball is composed of flattened and simplified architectural elements called Muqarnas. Through the employment of an aesthetic that is so deeply ingrained in the vernacular of Islamic architecture, we can create a space of inclusion and diversity.

Comprised of nearly 5,000 individual multi-angled reflective surfaces and organized in an array around a cylindrical structure, Faceted Column reflects and fractures the surrounding cityscape into an abstracted spectacle of color and light. The visual identity of surrounding objects and directionality of movement become disjoined, displacing one’s perceptual expectations in order to stimulate curiosity and challenge the familiar.

Lupoli is an artist duo comprised of Rebekah Lewis and Josh Tripoli best known for their colorful murals, illustration and design work. In the spirit of collaboration and childlike exploration, Lupoli aims to empower and enable creativity in their community.
Animating each public restroom along the concourse with different baseball-themes murals, the Lupoli Collective has created a unique experience for Wind Surge fans.

This mural has multiple aspects but is namely an ode to the baseball teams that once played in Wichita. The width of the colorful diagonal lines or "Time Bars" on the wall represent the length of time that each team played in the Wichita area and make use of the new Wind Surge colors. Along the bottom edge are the teams names living in their respective time bars which include previously unrepresented minority teams. On the far right of the murals is a "Snapshot Station" with the hybrid baseball and Wichita flag "Zia." This amazing mural serves as a huge eye-catcher to draw in viewers with its stylized nod to classic greeting postcards and retro baseball cards.
