May 10, 2024 - Vancouver, BC: A walk-off double from Ryan McCarty sunk the AquaSox as the Canadians won Game Four of the six-game series 4-3.

The AquaSox jumped out to an early lead in the top of the fourth inning. With the bases loaded following an RJ Schreck single and consecutive walks from Axel Sanchez and Gabriel Moncada, outfielder Colin Davis knocked a 2-RBI single to center field to give the Frogs a 2-0 lead. Vancouver scored one run in the bottom of the fourth but Everett was able to escape without allowing much damage.

In the top of the fifth inning, Jared Sundstrom would extend the Frogs’ lead to 3-1. Sundstrom smacked a solo homer to left-center field for his third home run. Sundstrom now has nine hits in seven games during May. The 3-1 lead would stick for a few innings, but Vancouver clawed their way back in the eighth inning, tying the game 3-3. McCarty would play hero for the Canadians the next inning, walking off the AquaSox in the bottom of the ninth on an RBI double to win 4-3.

Right-hander Ty Cummings continued his hot streak from the mound. Cummings threw six innings of one-run ball, striking out two. He lowered his season ERA to 2.40 across six games started. Cummings has not allowed more than one earned run in a start since April 20. He has allowed one run or less in four of his six starts. Also pitching were Blake Townsend and Nick Davila. Townsend threw a scoreless inning to lower his ERA to 2.08 and Davila struck out three batters.

Six AquaSox batters hit safely in the game. Sundstrom homered, and Schreck, Davis, Sanchez, Brock Rodden, and Josh Hood all singled. During the contest, the Frogs also exercised a stellar batter’s eye, walking 10 times. Schreck drew a trio of walks while Rodden and Davis walked twice.
