Sky Carp announce 2024 Opening Day roster

BELOIT-- The Beloit Sky Carp will feature an opening day roster full of familiar faces in 2024.

Of the 29 active players on the roster, 21 saw action for the Sky Carp last season.

Among the returnees are Top 10 Marlins prospects Karson Milbrandt and infielder Yiddi Cappe. Milbrandt, ranked sixth in the latest MLB Pipeline rankings, is set be the starting pitcher on opening day.

Cappe, ranked seventh, played all around the infield last season for Beloit, getting a start at every infield spot besides first base.

Jacob Miller (ranked 13th) and Ike Buxton (ranked 28th) will help anchor the rotation, while Joe Mack (26th) will be the starting catcher.

The Sky Carp will open play in the 2024 season on Friday at 6:35 p.m. against the defending Midwest League champion Cedar Rapids Kernels.
