(ALLENTOWN, PA) – The Charlotte Knights scored three runs in the top of the 10th inning to go on for an exciting 6-3 win over the Lehigh Valley IronPigs on Sunday afternoon in the finale of a six-game series from Coca-Cola Park in Allentown, PA. With the win, the Knights earned a series victory over the IronPigs, winning four of six games in the series.

Catcher Chuckie Robinson, who homered in the fourth inning, drove home the go-ahead run in the top of the 10th inning on an RBI single to right field. With the Knights ahead at that point by a score of 4-3, the offense kept rolling. Right fielder Zach DeLoach connected on an RBI single to make it a 5-3 game and third baseman Angelo Castellano drove home another run on an RBI single.

With the Knights ahead by a score of 6-3, reliever Aaron McGarity was tasked with shutting the door on the finale. Despite allowing the tying run to come to the plate, McGarity got Weston Wilson to ground out to end the game in the bottom of the 10th inning. McGarity fanned two batters in the inning and earned his first save of the season. RHP Justin Anderson earned the win despite allowing a game-tying home run in the bottom of the eighth inning.

Robinson continued his hot hitting as he finished the game with three hits, including his third home of the season. Shortstop Colson Montgomery had two hits and an RBI for the Knights, who have now won nine of their last 13 games.
