Playing their first-ever game as the Wreckers, Chattanooga fell behind early. The Barons had a 5-2 lead entering the bottom of the eighth inning, but the Lookouts managed to carve into the lead. On a 2-1 pitch, Tyler Callihan belted a home run to decrease the deficit to two.
After Zach Maxwell shut down the Barons in the ninth, Austin Callahan led off the inning with a walk. The next batter flew out to bring up Johnson with one out. The outfielder then hit a laser over 400 feet to tie the game and send it into extras.
In the 10th, Birmingham drove home the go-ahead run on a Tim Elko double and added one more on a single.
Tomorrow, Chattanooga will once again play as the Wreckers. Game is at 7:15 p.m. with gates opening at 6:00 p.m. The first 1,000 will get a Chattanooga Wreckers air freshener.
