Woodpeckers Announce Opening Night Festivities

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — The Fayetteville Woodpeckers 2024 home opener on April 9th against the Charleston RiverDogs will have a local flavor to it. First pitch is scheduled for 6:05 p.m. with gates opening at 5:05 p.m. The first 1,000 fans through the gates will take home a Magnet Schedule courtesy of IIANC. Stick around after the game to enjoy our first fireworks show of the season.
The pregame festivities are highlighted by the 82nd Airborne All-American Chorus singing the National Anthem with a flyover from three AH-64 Apache helicopters. The Whiskey Pines Band will be playing live music at the gates and there'll also be a face painter and balloon twister near the Chick-Fil-A Kids Zone.
Tuesday will also be the first opportunity for fans to try out new concession items throughout the ballpark. Fans can pick up our new Smash Burgers at Bagwell's as well as try out our new hot dog specials at SGT. Stubby's, including a Cuban Dog, a Chicken Fried Dog, a Pizza Dog, and a Greek Dog. Fans can top it off with new desserts at Sweet Martha's, including cookies, brownies, and cinnamon rolls, all of which can have ice cream added to them.
