Tulsa, OK—A three-run bottom of the ninth sent the Tulsa Drillers to a stunning 5-4 win over the Arkansas Travelers on Tuesday night in the series opener. Pinch-hitter Damon Keith connected for a base hit to drive in the tying and winning runs. After Tulsa scored the first run of the game, Arkansas rallied and built a three-run advantage only to see the Drillers score the game’s final four tallies. Cole Young led the Travs offense with his second consecutive three-hit game and Jared Oliva added a solo homer. Starting pitcher Jimmy Joyce matched his season high with four innings pitched.

Moments That Mattered

* Young delivered a two-run two out hit in the sixth inning pushing the Travs lead out to 4-1.

* Troy Taylor came on for the bottom of the ninth and did not record an out suffering his first blown save. A four pitch walk and then three straight hits sealed the Travs fate in the final inning.

* Arkansas still trails Springfield by 0.5 games in the first half division race with 11 games to play after Springfield lost at home to NW Arkansas, 7-4.

* The walk-off loss was the third of the season for the Travs.

* Several roster moves were made prior to the game affecting the Travs. RHP Logan Gragg and OF Spencer Packard were promoted to Triple-A Tacoma. RHP Jake Haberer was reinstated from the Injured List and OF Blake Rambusch joined the Travs after being activated from the Everett IL.
