Unfortunately, we cannot ensure that every game at McCormick Field will be sunny and 75. We do, however, take every necessary measure to play each game as scheduled. Please use this page as a reference during times in which mother nature does not cooperate!
If there is inclement weather in the area, there is NO SET TIME for a game to be postponed. Every situation is unique and a number of factors come into play. Weather radars are used to cover a wide area, please keep in mind that while it may be raining at your house it is very possible that there are blue skies over McCormick Field.
- Rain Delay: A rain delay is when the game is officially delayed due to rain or other inclement weather. Delays generally last at least 30 minutes but can last longer, and a game can be delayed more than once. Tickets cannot be exchanged due to rain delays.
- Rainout: When an official game is not played, that being 4.5 innings if home team is leading or 5 innings if game is tied or if the visiting team is leading, the ticket may be used as a rain check. In this case, this ticket may be exchanged for a ticket of equal value, based on seating availability, for any future non-restricted home game during the regular season of which they were purchased. Exchanges are accepted *exclusively *at the McCormick Field Box Office, and you must have your rainout tickets with you at the time of exchange. Tickets for official games that are suspended after becoming an official contest do not qualify as rain checks.
In the event of a rainout, the information will be posted on our website homepage, as well as on all social media outlets.
