BELOIT– For the second straight game, the Beloit Sky Carp were shut out at ABC Supply Stadium.
On the heels of a 2-0 defeat to Lake County Sunday, the Sky Carp fell 5-0 to visiting Wisconsin on a beautiful Tuesday night at ABC Supply Stadium.
The Timber Rattlers took the lead with a solo home run by Hendry Mendez in the second inning, then took command of the game with three runs in the fourth inning.
Wisconsin capped the scoring in the ninth inning with a solo run. The Beloit bullpen was outstanding. Holt Jones, making his first appearance since May in a Sky Carp uniform, threw three scoreless innings, while Yeuris Jimenez added a scoreless frame as well.
Javier Sanoja paced the Sky Carp six-hit attack with a pair of knocks.
The Sky Carp and Timber Rattlers will play again Wednesday in the final One Price Wednesday of the season! For just $18, fans can get a game ticket, soda, hot dog and chips.
