Blake Dunn Named Player of the Month
CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. –Minor League Baseball has announced that Chattanooga Lookouts outfielder Blake Dunn has been named the Southern League Player of the Month for July. In July, outfielder Blake Dunn batted .446/.528/.699 and led the league in average (.446), runs (25), hits (37), stolen bases (17) and on-base percentage (.528).

In July, outfielder Blake Dunn batted .446/.528/.699 and led the league in average (.446), runs (25), hits (37), stolen bases (17) and on-base percentage (.528). He finished second in RBI (24), total bases (58) and OPS (1.227) and was third in triples (two) and fifth in slugging percentage (.699). He recorded 10 multi-hit games, including a five-hit effort July 23 at Birmingham.
Earlier last month Dunn was named Player of the Week after collecting 13 hits in 23 at-bats against the Barons. In the outfielder’s first at-bat of that series, he belted a lead-off home run. Dunn finished the game 4-for-5 with two RBI and two SBs. A day later Dunn once again hit a lead-off home run and was 4-for-5 with two RBI.
Since making his Double-A debut, on June 6, the former 15th round draft pick is hitting .366 (64-for-175) with 17 extra-base hits, 33 RBI and 23 stolen bases.
