Ivan Johnson's Two HRs Power Lookouts to 12-3 Win

The Chattanooga Lookouts offense exploded four 12 runs in the team's victory over the Trash Pandas. In the win, Ivan Johnson went 3-for-4 with two homers, and starting pitcher Rhett Lowder earned his first Double-A victory.

Lowder struggled early, allowing a leadoff single and a two-run home run Gustavo Campero. After the homer, the right-hander settled down and threw four consecutive scoreless frames.

Down by two, Daniel Vellojin smacked a sacrifice fly to make it 2-1. In the second the offense kicked into high gear, scoring five runs on five hits. The team led off the inning with three straight singles followed by a Francisco Urbaez three-run home run to give the Lookouts the 5-2 lead. Austin Hendrick then delivered an RBI single to give the Lookouts six runs on the night.

Up 6-2, Ivan Johnson added to the blow with a solo homer in the third. He then crushed his second homer, in the sixth to make it 8-2. Chattanooga continued to pour on the runs with four more runs in the seventh to put away the game.

In the victory, Owen Holt pitched 2.1 scoreless innings to earn his first save of the season.
