Lookouts Unveil Opening Day Roster

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. – The Cincinnati Reds and the Chattanooga Lookouts have announced their initial 2024 roster for Opening Day. This year’s team features 22 returning players including starting pitchers Julian Aguiar (17), Sam Benschoter, and Chase Petty (5). The 2024 roster also has three of the Reds' top 30 prospects

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. – The Cincinnati Reds and the Chattanooga Lookouts have announced their initial 2024 roster for Opening Day. This year’s team features 22 returning players including starting pitchers Julian Aguiar (17), Sam Benschoter, and Chase Petty (5). The 2024 roster also has three of the Reds' top 30 prospects including Aguiar, Petty, and pitcher Zach Maxwell (27)*. Maxwell will be making his Double-A debut this season after spending last season in Dayton and Daytona. The Nashville native is fresh off his first Major League Spring Training and a spot in the 2023 Arizona Fall League.

Here is the roster breakdown: 16 pitchers, three catchers, seven infielders, and four outfielders.

The Lookouts begin their season on the road today, April 5, with a three-game series against Birmingham. They open at home at AT&T Field on Tuesday, April 9 at 7:15 p.m. against the Tennessee Smokies. Tickets for the opening series can be bought at Lookouts.com.
