Enrique Bradfield Jr. Named Minor League Baseball Rawlings Gold Glove Award Winner

Bowie, M.D. (November 5, 2024) - Minor League Baseball, along with Rawlings Sporting Goods company, announced on Monday that 2024 Baysox outfielder Enrique Bradfield Jr. was named a recipient of the Rawlings Gold Glove Award as one of the top defensive outfielders in Minor League Baseball for the 2024 season.

Bradfield spent the majority of the 2024 season with the High-A Aberdeen IronBirds, prior to earning promotion to the Baysox on August 13. Between the two levels, Bradfield featured in 106 games across all three outfield positions, recording 273 putouts and nine outfield assists compared to just one error. Bradfield finished the season with a .933 fielding percentage.

In 27 games for Bowie, Bradfield featured in primarily in center field (16 GP), while also playing seven games in left and three in right. He committed just one error in 74 total chances and 230 innings played defensively.

Bradfield, 22, ended the 2024 season as the No. 4 ranked Orioles' prospect, per MLB Pipeline. He was drafted 17th overall by Baltimore in the 2023 MLB Draft out of Vanderbilt University. Bradfield is the first Baysox player to receive a Rawlings Gold Glove Award since former Baysox catcher Adley Rutschman won the award following his stint with Bowie in the 2021 season.

The winners at each position were selected from players in the 11 full-season Minor Leagues. Each player will receive his own Rawlings Gold Glove Award, modeled after the iconic award given to Major League Baseball’s top defensive players, during the 2025 season.
