COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - The Sky Sox won their third straight game against the Nashville Sounds 8-1 Wednesday afternoon for their fifth straight win overall, as well as their fifth series win of the season.
The Sky Sox got the ball rolling early in game three, scoring three runs in the first inning.  Mauricio Dubon, who came into today with a 19-game hitting streak, reached on a Nashville error. Ji-Man Choi drew a five-pitch walk to put two on for Jacob Nottingham, who promptly homered to left field to make it 3-0.
Colorado Springs went on to score again in the second frame as well.  Keon Broxton hit a leadoff single, then stole second to move into scoring position for his seventh steal of the season. Nate Orf singled to score Broxton and extend Colorado Springs' lead to four.
After a scoreless third inning, Nashville answered in the top of the fourth.  Dustin Fowler led off the inning with a double, moving up to third on a ground out.  Beau Taylor singled to center to get the Sounds on the board to make it 4-1.
In the fifth inning Orf led off with a single for the Sky Sox, then scored on a Dubon double as Dubon extended his hit streak to 20 games, tying him with Charlie Blackmon and D.J. LeMahieu on the list of longest hit streaks in Sky Sox history (Trenidad Hubbard and Matt Murton top the list at 29 games).  Choi singled on the very next pitch to score Dubon from second and make it 6-1.
In the seventh inning Orf led off with another single, before stealing second.  Ji-Man choi drew another walk, and Nottingham was hit-by-pitch to load the bases.  Tyrone Taylor lined an RBI single to score Orf and Choi to extend Colorado Springs' lead to 8-1, for what would be the final score of the game.
